About Yuva Kalyan Parishad (YKP)
Yuva Kalyan Parishad (YKP) is a thought which has the capacity of building a new, developed and complete nation. We strive to expand our outreach to all those who are in need. Unfortunately our state Bihar lacks in self sufficiency. Engulfed with problems like unemployment, unawareness, poverty and poor education which restricts its grouping in developing state category. Even though our state is heading towards development, the problem slows down the process of development.
Within the boundaries of the state every section of society, community, cast, and religion live. It is unfortunate that most of the youth in our state lacks commitment while the responsibility lies on their shoulders. The main reason behind making our country immovable and under developed is lack of awareness and gainful employment.
As such Yuva Kalyan Parishad was formed in the year 2012 in state capital of Bihar (Patna) for eradicating the darkness within the society which is due of unawareness, poverty, unemployment and to make youth educated and Self dependent.
Strength of an organization depends upon its strategy to execute the programme & policies. Our team strength contains 150 Associate Partners and 30 Block Co-Ordinators in 35 Districts of Bihar. More than 200 Skill training centers are running in all over Bihar providing different skill training to people according to their interest & requirement. We also have training centers for JAN SIKSHA ABHIYAN,SDTP (Skill Development Training Programme) facilitation centers for SELF HELP GROUPS , RTI Seva kendras etc. for addressing the needs of the masses. The differently abled are being brought to the main stream structure of the society.
For its remarkable achievement in the field of counseling and providing technical & professional education to students through admission for courses in various colleges in India. Yuva Kalyan Parishad Has been authorized to work as a Nodal Agency for SC/ST Welfare Department.
Skill Development Training Program
Skills and knowledge are the driving forces of economic growth and social development in a country. As opposed to developed countries, where the percentage of skilled workforce is between 60% and 90% of the total workforce, India records a low 5% of workforce (20-24 years) with formal vocational skills.
To rapidly scale up skill development efforts in India, by creating an end-to-end, outcome-focused implementation framework, this aligns demands of the employers for a well-trained skilled workforce with aspirations of Indian citizens for sustainable livelihoods.
Under this Yuva kalyan Parishad gives training to different sections of people in society. The students are given training under National Digital Literacy Mission (NDLM), Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas yojna (PMKY), SHG for women, National urban Livelihood Mission (NULM).
Self Help Group
Through Self Help Group, Yuva Kalyan Parishad is providing employment and self employment opportunity to women not only in Bihar but also in Jharkhand, which is improving the economic condition of women. Women are being motivated to mobilize, Empower, become self-reliant and secure livelihood. In Bihar and Jharkhand, the SELF HELP GROUP is being formed and funding is done by CSR fund.
As our constitution does not make any discrimination between men and women. They both are equally entitled for education, property rights and right to social equality, but in reality, though society being developed enough women are still deprived of their rights. This a major reason behind women’s illiteracy. The situation is even worse in rural areas. Due to illiteracy women are unaware of their basic rights and their economic condition is detrimental.
Therefore, to address this issue and for economic empowerment of women, Yuva Kalyan Parishad has linked them to SHGs and skill training programs. In which women are trained in accordance with their interests. Training programs include stitching, making pickles, papad, various eatables like Adauri. After training the Ministry of Labour, Government of India awards them with training certificates. After such trainings women become capable for being employed or can undertake self-employment thus contributing to economic progress of their families.

Free Employment Exchange Programme
Unemployment in India is a complex problem with numerous overlapping and intertwined causes; however, it is possible to identify several key causes. Understanding the causes of unemployment is the first step in beginning to rectify this major problem and creating a society in which everyone is able to find a sustainable livelihood for themselves and their families.
For addressing the problem of unemployment government opened EMPLOYMENT EXCHANGE CENTRES in every districts, villages and blocks. The objective was to create a database of the unemployed section within the society and to create job opportunities on basis of knowledge, qualification and skills. But the desired result cannot be achieved due to unawareness regarding such centers, incapacity in job creation, registration and renewal procedures etc. Many employment exchange centers became non-functional due to this.
YUVA KALYAN PARISHAD provided assistance to these centers through data collection, creating awareness among unemployed about their benefits, time to time updation on jobs and employment. Thus bridging the gap between government and unemployed. The organization also assisted unemployed in getting employed in various sectors.
